Paying $10 Million to Johnny Depp Is Not Possible for Her, Says Amber Heard’s Attorney

Seven jury members unanimously concluded on Wednesday, June 2, 2022, that Amber Heard publicly humiliated Johnny Depp in her 2018 op-ed in the Washington Post.

It was a’mixed verdict,’ according to NBC. The jury, on the other hand, definitely backed the Pirates of the Caribbean actress. Amber Heard now owes her ex-husband Johnny Depp ten million dollars in damages, while he owes her two million dollars in debt.

Amber’s attorney, Elaina Bredehoft, spoke to the NBC the day after the jury’s judgment, on Thursday, June 3, 2022. She expressed her feelings on the decision in a chat with the “Today Show.

The jury’s verdict, she claims, was skewed, and the members were ‘affected’ by global trends and activities. She claimed that the internet contributed a crucial impact, and not in a positive way; most of the people supported Johnny Depp because he is more known actor in the industry with more clout, not just among the internet but also among the masses.

“How can you say no?” Each night, they returned home. They have families of their own. Social media is used by the families. Because of the judicial conference, we had a 10-day break in the midst. It’s impossible that they weren’t impacted by it.”

She claimed that as a result of the TikTok and Twitter trends, the tribunal won’t look like something of a serious place with obligatory manners, but more like a ‘zoo’ by Depp’s admirers.

She also stated that she disagreed with the conviction to broadcast such a complex and high issue, but that no one listened to her.

“It reminds me of the Roman Colosseum, don’t you think?” This is how they felt about the whole situation. Because of the delicate nature of this case, I was against cameras in the courtroom, and I went on record and fought against it. But it turned it into a zoo,” says the author.

Bredehoft went on to say that the decision is unjust and conveys a terrible message.

“It’s a terrible message, and it’s a huge blow because that’s precisely what it represents. “You won’t be believed until you take out your phone and record your spouse or significant other abusing you.”

“Oh no, absolutely not,” she answered on questioned whether her celebrity client Amber Heard could pay the massive penalty of $10 million.

She told the source that Amber Heard’s profession had been seriously harmed by the case, because she does barely have that much income, and that it isn’t even reasonable. As a result, she will file an appeal in court against the jury’s judgment.

“There was just so much evidence left out of the hearing, it was so unjust,” she added of the Aquaman star’s defeat. So, she’ll file a petition, and she has really compelling reasons to do so.”
