At the 95th Academy Awards, actor, producer, and narrator, Morgan Freeman, well known for the role he played in “A Good Person,” made a prominent appearance.
He could be seen on stage along with Margot Robbie.
The occasion was important as it marked the 100th-year journey of Warner Bros.
In between all the joy and excitement, people with strong vision couldn’t stop themselves from noticing Morgan’s strange fashion sense, as he wore a glove on just his one hand.
The 86-year-old actor had also developed curiosity among people with him wearing one glove before as he appeared at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony in Qatar.
While inaugurating the event, Freeman was seen along with Ghanim-Al-Muftah, a Qatari YouTube influencer wearing the same compression glove.
The venerable actor notably started wearing a glove continuously after his extreme accident back in 2008 in Mississippi.
He met a horrifying moment while driving at night and suddenly his car went off the road, rolling several times before ending up in a ditch near his place.
One of the journalists who shared the entire story with The Guardian told how the responders used hydraulic tools to cut Freeman from the wreckage at that time.
Despite being in terrible condition, the actor kept himself calm and tried to engage in playful conversation with the rescue team.
After putting all of their efforts into providing quick medical treatment to him, the rescue team ended up shifting him from the hospital in an airlift to a Memphis, over 100 miles away.
In hospital, it was found that Freeman had sustained several fractures in the crash and then he went through an extensive four-hour surgery to repair the injuries on his hand and arm.
The Bruce Almight star had to face devastating consequences after his accident as it left him with permanent nerve damage and extensive shoulder pain and his left hand became also immobile.
The reason behind wearing compression glove is the swelling that happens due to the lack of movement. The glove gives him some kind of relief from the symptoms he is going through.
While giving an interview to the People magazine in year 2010, he opened up about his never-ending struggles with his injuries.
Freeman also shared how he was told that if he did not move his hand, his hand would be swollen. He also revealed the ongoing challenges he experienced while saying, that you must know everyone moves their hand infinitely times a day.
After some time, talking with Esquire, he revealed how the accident made his fibromyalgia terrible after causing him unbearable pain in moving “up and down” his arm.
The unstoppable Freeman is truly an inspiration for all to be strong in tough situations as he has always been resilient not only as an actor but also in person.
The decision to wear compression glove all the time, even being in physical discomfort, shows that life is unpredictable and anything can happen anytime with anyone.
