Madonna Accidently Calls Out Fan on her Concert For Not Standing Up, Later Realizes The Fan Is In A Wheelchair

The iconic Vogue singer, Madonna stuck in an awkward situation at the age of 65 while performing on her US Celebration Tour.

In a video that has been going viral on the internet shows her facing an embarrassing moment after a mishap happened to her.

In the video, she could be seen having a conversation with the audience, she also encouraged her fans to “take this ride with me.”

There, Madonna noticed that one of her fans is still sitting, so she asked,“What are you doing sitting down over there?”

She went to the edge of the stage to properly listen to the answer of that fan.

After finding that the person was not able to stand and was sitting in a wheelchair, she visibly felt shocked and instantly apologized to the individual.

“Oh, okay. Politically incorrect. Sorry about that.” 

Madonna also showed gratitude towards her by saying, “I’m glad you’re here,” as she found herself in an awkward situation.

After this weird incident, she started receiving some criticism from people who think that she has no right to give remarks to her fans no matter what circumstances they have.

One of the reddit users said, “Even if that person wasn’t in a wheelchair, maybe just having bad knees or whatever, how tf is that anybody’s business?”

Another individual showed their disappointment about the lack of respect fans get, saying: “Girl, bye. People are paying good money to see you, don’t disrespect them like that.”

A user shared about personal experience highlighting the significance of respecting invisible disabilities.

“I went to a concert a couple of months after going through surgery and chemo and couldn’t stand the whole time.”

“I would’ve been mortified to be called out like this. Disability is not always evident. It shouldn’t matter if they were in a wheelchair or not.”

Some people called Madonna ‘insufferable’ after the incident while others found the now viral video ‘painful’.

This was not the first time when Madonna experienced a mishap on her recent tour as she already had a fall last month during one of her performances.

There, she was enjoying performing ‘Open Your Heart’ sitting on a chair, and suddenly she tumbled on stage as the dancer tried to pull her from the chair.

Despite the unexpected fall, Madonna did not miss a single beat and stayed so positive, seemed laughing and continuing her song quickly.

A cameraman immediately came to her for the rescue, however, fortunately she was totally fine without any injury.

Many people still recalling the so-called incident of the 2015 Brit Awards where the singer mistakenly got pulled down off a flight of stairs due to her cape.

Addressing the incident, Madonna shared that her cape was tied so much tightly as there were some chances of it getting fallen off.

“So here I am marching in like the Queen, I got to the top of the stairs and I pulled the silky string and it wouldn’t come undone.”

“My two lovely Japanese dancers, they basically strangled me off the stage. I could either be strangled or fall, and I chose to fall.”
