Couple Sued Clinic for Delivering a Boy As They Specifically Wanted a Girl

The clinic had promised to deliver a baby girl, but after delivery, it turned out to be a boy, stated couple in the filed lawsuit.

According to New York Post reported, Robin Routenberg Wilhelm and Heather Wilhelm said that after going through fertility processes, they knew they had a daughter.

After all the excitement they delivery lead couple go devastated who are now filing a suit against the clinic. Husband said that her wife has went into a dark depression after finding out about the baby boy.

CNY Fertility Clinic in Latham, New York had confirmed that couple can accurately determine the gender of the embryo before transferring it into the mother’s womb. However, at 15 month, couple went blanked seeing they were nourishing a male fetus in the womb, couple said while telling the story.

Heather also explained the procedure of turning her husband’s sperm and egg into an embryo that was later transfered into her womb.

“We selected CNY because they agreed we would be able to select female embryos,” she recalled, before explaining that: “We didn’t want to have a boy because of the assaults and because of the socialization of boys — there’s constant socialization of what it means to be a ‘real man.’ People say, ‘Oh, he’s a boy, let him hit you,’ and all the camouflage and guns don’t help. It reinforces masculinity, and that’s a reminder of the assaults every time.”

She explained that although she can deal with the trauma still she isn’t accepting the boy as it looks like a forced masculinity. For the she said, “”

Couple believes that the embryo is misplaced or flipped, “That’s when I flipped out,” Heater said: “That’s when I felt my body was taken hostage.”

However, couple is now happily living with their son and have grown enormous amount of love for them. Still the feel that clinic had stolen their first connection due to their false claiming’s.

“He’s an innocent being, he didn’t deserve any of this. The clinic messed with something so integral: our baby’s first formative years. That’s the reason I am doing this — because I love my kid so much. We think our son deserved that bond from the start,” said Heather.
