Brazil: Container ship lost control and ran aground

What’s IN!!!! On March 31, Americo Vespucio, while he was leaving the port of Santos Brasil, all of a sudden lost the control.

As a result, the vessel got stuck at the Estuario De Santos South bank, opposite to Ponta da Praia.

As shown in the images, the bow and the starboard anchor were very near to the shore. Then, 4 tugboats pulled the back to the channel and returned the ship to the berth, at Tecon Santos again.

Notably, other ships that were leaving the port, changed the plan and aborted their manoeuvres.
